I was in Trader Joe’s and saw that they now have an Alfredo sauce that’s made with black truffles. This Black Truffle Alfredo pasta sauce is heavenly. I’m a huge fan of truffle oil, truffle salt, and truffles in general, so buying the sauce was a no brainer for me. I love the fact that Trader Joe’s has so many gourmet pre-made ingredients for less. I’ve seen black truffle alfredo sauce priced at $20 a jar! Trader Joe’s is selling the sauce for $3.99. That’s a steal!
Honestly, this black truffle alfredo pasta sauce is delicious on it’s own. You don’t have to add meat or cheeses to it if you don’t want to. I wanted to give my review on the sauce here, so you know I had to jazz it up.
Also, I saw that Trader Joe’s was selling the Winter Snowflake and I thought the shape was the cutest thing ever! I wish they sold it with the same ingredients as the Fall Zucchette Pasta.
How to use Trader Joe’s Black Truffle Alfredo Pasta Sauce:
First and foremost, I want to let you know that you can use whatever pasta (or even vegetables instead of pasta) that you have on hand. Traditionally, black truffle pasta is served without meat and just some cheese.
I want to mention that I always make my alfredo with chicken, and sometimes bacon. You’re going to see a 100 recipes on my site that has some type of white sauce with chicken and bacon. Chicken and bacon are my perfect go-to for my pasta recipes. It never fails me.
Additionally, I can’t stress enough that you should include vegetables whenever you make pasta! A nice side salad goes perfectly with pasta! For the black truffle Alfredo pasta recipe that I made here, I would say that you should pair this with green beans (like I did!) due to the fact it’s neutral in taste. You don’t want to pair this pasta with anything too rich.
For example, here are a few of my suggestions for the black truffle alfredo pasta sauce: (However, these recipes aren’t traditional recipes used with black truffle sauce, I just wanted to come up with some creative ways to use this sauce)
- Gnocchi, Grana Padano Cheese, and Kale
- Butternut Squash, Parmesano Reggiano, and Arugula
- Steak Tips, Raddichio, and Mozzarella Cheese
- Grilled Shrimp, Peas, and Brussels Sprouts
Lastly, use quality cheese for this sauce! It’s not necessary, but I felt extra cheese was definitely needed. However, if you don’t want to add too much richness to this dish, skip the cheese.

Black Truffle Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 jar Trader Joe’s Black Truffle Alfredo Pasta Sauce
- 1/2 bag Trader Joe’s Winter Snowflake Pasta
- 2 tbsp Sundried Tomatoes
- 5 strips Pre-Cooked Uncured Bacon
- 1/2 cup Rotisserie Chicken
- Fresh Parsley, for topping
- 1 tsp Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning
- 1/4 cup Trader Joe’s Quattro Formaggio
- 2 tsp Grated Parmesan Romano
Instructions
-
Begin by cooking the pasta according to instructions. After cooking the pasta, drain the pasta and add the alfredo sauce. Turn the stove down to medium/low heat and allow the sauce to heat.
-
Stir the pot and then add the bacon and rotisserie chicken. Continue to stir until the sauce covers the meat. Then, proceed to add the fresh parsley. Continue to stir and then add the grated Parmesano Romano. Continue to stir. And then lastly, add the Quattro Formaggio. Allow the cheese to melt.
-
Allow the pasta to simmer for 5-10 minutes.
-
After simmering, add to a bowl and top with more Quattro Formaggio and top with Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning.
Notes
- I used Trader Joe’s Precooked Bacon & Rotisserie Chicken from Whole Foods. You can cook your bacon from scratch & make chicken thighs instead of using pre-cooked meats. I needed a quick meal, so I used these ingredients instead.
- I couldn’t find the sauce on Amazon, so I linked an alternative for those that don’t live near a Trader Joe’s.
